In this day and age the dog accessory industry is certainly big and only continues to grow. As pet owners, it can be super fun to dress up our dogs and give them a little bit of visual personality, or even utilize accessories as a way to make you and your pet’s lives a little bit easier. It is also important to make sure that your dogs are happy and comfortable in what you give them to wear or use. Here is a list of some of our favorite accessories:
-
Pet Harness
-
Dog harnesses can be a great fashion statement as well as a safety tool. There are quite literally thousands of combinations of colors and styles, so there should be a perfect harness for every pet! Another benefit is that they can be buckled to a seatbelt to ensure pet safety. As My Busy Dog says, “In the event that the worst happens – you get into an accident – your dog will stay in the vehicle where you can immediately attend to any medical needs they may have.”
-
Travel Bowls
-
No matter where you are, just like humans, dogs need to be constantly drinking water and staying hydrated. While at home it is easy to leave a water bowl out that your dog can access at any time, but it can be a lot more difficult to keep your pet hydrated on the go. There are many products on the market, including collapsible bowls that can be stored easily and used for feeding time. Also, there are water bottles that unfold to provide a water dish in a pinch. These are great for when you’re on a hike, long road trip, or even just at the dog park.
-
Pet CBD
-
This might sound like a random accessory but from our experience we have found it to often be quite essential. Pet CBD is great for anxiety, mobility support and appetite support. You never know when your pet is going to enter a situation that makes them super nervous, but having pet CBD on hand can help mediate and minimize the stress. For on the go we like to bring Zen Frenz Bacon and Beef Zen Bites. They are flavored soft chews with 4mg of CBD per chew, and just like regular treats, the package is resealable. This makes it easy to throw into a bag, your pocket, or glove box. Also, if we know we’re going to leave our pet at home for awhile we like to give them CBD peanut butter to snack on or add CBD Drops to their food.
-
Dog Shoes
-
These might sound a little silly and are not needed or wanted by a lot of pets but in certain situations they can be quite helpful. Additionally, My Busy Dog says, “Most people think of dogs shoes as the best dog accessory for cold weather but they’re actually very important for the trails too. They provide extra grip, they protect your dog’s feet from rocks and other sharp hazards, and they can keep your dog’s paws from becoming overheated.”
