Have some extra bananas around that you don’t think you’re going to be able to finish? Don’t want to make another pan of banana bread? Your dog might be the answer you weren’t expecting!
Bananas are a great source of fiber, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C which are all great things for your pup from helping with regularity to metabolizing proteins and regulating blood cells. Experts recommend providing these great things through veggies and fruits rather than only through supplements. There are many fruit and veggies that your dog can be treated to and others that they shouldn't consume. Just make sure you check out what is okay and what is not okay for your dog to eat.
Let Your Dog Go Bananas for Bananas
So, don’t actually let them consume an endless supply of this tasty fruit, but incorporate small quantities, slowly. This will let them get used to the fruit. Now, just like humans, some dogs won’t like bananas, so don’t force your dog to eat them. You can serve them mashed up or just add little pieces on top of your dog’s food or give little chunks as a treat!
Dog Treats, Banana Style
4 Ingredients
You only need 4 ingredients to make these yummy dog treats. Make sure you have yogurt and peanut butter that both preferably have no added sugar, honey, and banana. You will also want some sort of mold to place the mixture in. An ice cube tray works great for this. First, if your peanut butter isn’t runny and creamy, you need to melt half a cup of peanut butter in the microwave until it is creamy. This should take around 30 seconds. Second, blend four cups of yogurt, the creamy peanut butter, two tablespoons of honey, and one banana into a blender. Blend this until it is smooth. The last steps will be pouring the mixture into the ice trays and popping them into the freezer until they are firm. When it’s treat time, pop the treats out and let your dog enjoy it!

First, you need to add your bananas to the mixer to help break down the bananas. Next, pour in coconut oil that you have melted down if it is solid. Lastly, pour in creamy peanut butter. Creaminess is very important. Lastly, pour the mixture into molds. This can be dog bone molds or simply just an ice cube tray. Let them freeze and then they are ready to serve your dog!

You only need 2 ingredients to make these, you guessed it, equally yummy dog treats. Everyone loves ice cream, including your dog. And if you or your dog don’t love ice cream, what is up with that?! Just kidding, there are other great treats for you and your pooch. But, for all my doggie ice cream lovers, this is just the right treat you can make for your dog. You will need 4 bananas and half a cup of peanut butter. First, you will want to peel and slice up your banana so that you can put them into the freezer. Once they are frozen, place them into a food processor or high bower blender and blend. It should be very thick, but will smooth out. Next, add peanut butter and blend until it is all mixed up. Place the ice cream in small cups you are okay with giving your excited dog, and leave in the freezer until you are ready to give them to your pup! You can top the cups off with CBD dog treats, to help your dog stay zen after consuming this yummy treat.
The best part about all these treats is that you can add supplements to any of them! Placing a few drops of CBD oil for dogs can really help your dog be calm without them realizing it because they are too busy drooling over their treat.
